Latest Fashion Trends Summer On And Off Runways

We all are experiencing Covid lockdown since
last year. Social distancing has inspired current fashion trends since 2021. The fashion world realized that the ongoing pandemic is not leaving soon
and this brought style inspiration for current years. Designers further blended fashion
from some of the most influential decades to the new work-from-home routine.
The four fashion capitals, New York, London, Milan, and Paris witnessed
designers showcasing style inspiration through digital and virtual fashion
shows during the fashion weeks. But before I let you know about the top fashion trends of summer 2021, here is my take on it.
Despite the “different”, the top designers are quoting this year's style inspiration, due to changes in lifestyle brought by Covid, there has not been much creativity around the styles. Some twitching and blending from emerging decades’ trends did the job. Fashion critics responded on fashion weeks of 2019 and 2020 as bringing “nothing new” to taste. That still seems relatable. I would say that although this year may be different, fashion and style are not but a mix of many. Comfortable underwear became outerwear. Feminism coupled with a touch of masculine, cozy became the outdoor style staple.
The top summer fashion trends 2021 were
conceived by top designers such as Burberry, Prada, Fendi, Jacquemus, Chanel,
Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Versace, Michael Korrs, Supriya Lele,
Christopher Esber, Gucci, Celine, Max Mara, Bottega Venetta, Christopher Kane,
Kenneth Ize, Molly Goddard, Rodarte, Anna Sui, Erdem, Proenza Schouler, Elder
Statesman, Victoria Beckham, Khaite, and Bevza.
So what fashion is trending this summer 2021?
This is going to be a series of posts on fashion and style inspiration. As lockdown eases, try out these trends for your garden parties, graduation parties, girls' night-ins, or when out to do your chores. Of the
many, I selected the five best summer fashion trends 2021 and
sharing them with you below. These known fashion styles will be seen everywhere and which
we all need to know, and buy.
Midriff Flossing
Crisscrossing cords and wraparound details around the bare midriff trended this spring/summer 2021 fashion week. Strappy details emerging from the waist of the skirt or hem of tops, including bralettes made a comeback from the 2000s both on and off runways. You can lace up wraparound bikini to high waist pants depending on your comfort, and still pull off the daring and sexy trend.
Floaty Maxi Dress
Maxi dress is a must-have for its versatility and flattering appeal. The elegant maxi dress in neutrals is a cool comeback this summer and is appropriate for both formal and casual wear. Floaty brings out the feminine and delicate. It looks flattering on all body shapes and types. Maxi dresses come in various floor sweeping and even sheer styles to choose from. The feminine floral is the current vibe and likely to always stay popular and stylish. This also includes flowy and loose skirts, paired with bralettes. So why not have a maxi dress theme for your next garden or graduation party and go in neutral white? And don't forget to pull off the look with a pair of flatforms!
On another note, don't forget to wear midi dresses as well. The more variety the merrier.
Loose Flare Pants
The resurgence of flare pants and breathable baggy trousers is this summer season’s favorite fit. The wide-leg trend is replacing the skinny (although I am still the skinny jeans person). These denim alternatives are the pant trends fashion girls are loving and seeing pulling off with tops and bralettes. They come in stylish cuts and materials. You can shop from low-slung and low-rise pants, high-waisted pants, and wide-legged trousers.

Living Room Disco
Social gatherings may seem like a farfetched idea, but designers brought a laid-back twist to disco fashion. They adorned your everyday clothes and athletes-wear with sequins and sparkle for a relaxed glamour look on the runways. Designers gave head-to-toe bling to your quality basics as a t-shirt to sports cap, flats, boots, and even trainers. It is time to bring out all sorts of glitz and glam in your daily routine.
Tie-Dye
Colorful tie-dye is trending this summer with
a swirl. This is the DIY print everyone is seen loving since 2020 because they
could experiment during the lockdown. Designers brought back the 60s and 90s
nostalgia in 2021 runways. They are incorporating the ombre effect for an
effortless WFH look. The comfy-chic tie-dye loungewear was seen off runways as
well. Tie-dye has become the laid-back and go-to outfit combo this warm season.

DeleteThanks for this insightful post about Spring 2021 Fashion. I agree that there hasn't been too much creativity this season other than comfort. I was surprised but maybe that's because a lot of inspiration comes from being able to interact with others and travel.
